September 2009

Just a few random moments, Adam turned 5 this year, can you believe it? My baby!
He had a really cool lego party at Texas Star Gymnastics, his little neighbor friends
all came and a few from his school he went to last year. My friends Edel & Alva helped
me make the lego cake the night before, which was messy, but very cool. The last one is of a rare date night, Steve's parents treated us to a night out, we went and saw Grease the musical, awesome! We had an amazing time out on the town.

UT & UTEP Game 2009

Dillon got to go to his very first UT football game with his grandfather and daddy! It is not a far drive to Austin, but boy, its a long walk to the stadium once you get there. Dillon didn't complain once though, and thoroughly enjoyed the game. He even learned the fight songs, and some not-so-polite songs about OU. :) Dillon is a true, died in the wool Burnt Orange lover now, if he wasn't already before.

Summer 2009

This summer was a great one for us even though we had a little bump in the road (notice Adam's cast). Dillon swam in Summer League again this year, 6 weeks of bleary eyed 6am Saturdays. Worth it in the end though, he always has fun in Summer League. In June, the kids & I went to a friends neighborhood pool to swim and paint Henna. While we were there, Adam was in the pool not five minutes, I had him sunscreened up, lifejacket on, and low and behold, he climbs up onto a water fountain, has the flukiest fall and busts open his knee. It was a very bad cut, I would've added that picture, but its not for the faint at heart. Fortunately there was a ER not one minute away, my friend Alva held him in her lap while I sped over there.
He got 10 stitches in his knee. About a week later we realized he actually
broke his kneecap and had to get a peg-leg true pirate like cast on for 5 and
a half weeks. He couldn't decide between all the colors so they let him have
two.
We took a trip to see Andy & Renee and baby Andrea (ok, I know she's 3
now but she'll probably always be Baby Andrea to me) and Mr. Grant.
These kids are so precious, such good kids, great dispositions, even if I
say so myself as a bragging aunt. The four of them get along so well,
its non stop fun with all of them. Dillon enjoys carrying Grant around. I
think the funniest part of our trip was when after a whole weekend of non stop playing, Sunday morning an episode of Dora the Explorer came on. Dillon must have been a bit too loud because Baby Andrea turns to him and says "Be Quiet Dillon! Dora is on!". The boys and I rolled over laughing. Wish these guys lived closer to us. :(

Halloween 2009

October 31st, 2009
Kids were very anxious about trick or treating this year, Dillon in particular was very eager to get suited up early and hit the streets at 5pm, so that he'd have time to go through the entire neighborhood. First we went to my parents to celebrate a bit. Dillon went as...yep, you guessed it, a Star Wars character, yet again. I'm pretty sure this is our 4th year in a row as a Star Wars person. I believe this is a Storm Trooper, but I've no idea of his name. Adam is wild about Mario & Luigi, he found this costume and knew he had to have it. We stayed home this Halloween, Steve took the kids around while I handed out candy with Nana & Poppie who came to visit. Our neighbors had a nice party for the kids after all the trick or treating time, with fun stuff like bobbing for apples, and a pinata. The kids had a ball. Adam didn't last very long trick or treating, Steve brought him home after a few blocks while Dillon continued on with our neighbors. He brought home a Wal-Mart bag full of candy. So much fun!

December 2008

Santa made good on his delivery of Adam's wish of a "bitty Kitty", in fact he brought two! Lucky us! Meet Snowball and Speedo, Snowball being the obvious one thats all white. Here is a shot of Adam and his cousin Andrea just after Christmas and Blue Eyed Baby Grant, and the last one is New Years Eve with most the kids on our Cul-De-Sac. Such fun those guys had!

Trip to Idaho Falls

In February we got to go see Blakey and the rest of the Krupa clan. It was wonderful to spend with great friends.
Adam had a blast chasing after all the Canadian Geese next to Snake River. Leaving the Krupa's and those gorgeous mountains was not an easy thing to do! But so glad we had the opportunity to go.

It was both of the boys first time to see snow. Both of them loved it! Adam mostly ate snow off of his mittens, enthralled with the white stuff. They both loved sledding, they couldn't get enough of it. I personally enjoyed the hot chocolate after sledding! Blake is an expert sledder now, he's quite the daredevin on a sled!

Christmas 2008

Adam was an angel at his pre-school play. His teacher says he has the gift of song, and he sang his heart out.

Christmas Tree Farm 2008

Our annual trip to the Merry Christmas Tree Farm. Adam had just gotten his mole removed under his eye, thus the purple band-aid! Boys had a great time selecting a tree, climbing the tree house and drinking hot cocoa and hot apple cider. Adam asked Santa for a "bitty kitten" and Legos, Dillon asked for legos, and Rockband.

Easter, cont.

We also had Easter lunch with Nana & Poppie. Nana took us down to the country
club to see real Easter Bunny's and petting zoo. Adam was very proud of his egg
collection!

Easter

Over Easter weekend we pitched a tent in Mom & Dad's new giant backyard. The boys went easter egg hunting in the yard, and went
swimming in the lake.
