swim team
I suppose what keeps us the busiest this time of year would have to be swim team for Dillon! He has been a huge fan of the water since, well, probably birth! When he was only 2 he saw his daddy swimming laps at the YMCA, he ran over and jumped into the water in the 10 feet section. He sunk all the way to the bottom, Steve swam up and lifted him out of the water and that little boy was laughing! He didn't take on any water at all, it was amazing. We decided to do some private swim lessons to teach him to only go in the water on the count of three. Dillon is not too competitive of a person, so swim team is quite ideal for him as it pushes you to improve your own best time. If he beats the other team then thats just an added bonus!
Our first family blog
Sometimes our life is such a whirlwind, maybe its time we let ourselves remember what it is that is keeping us so busy! I suppose a little bit of history wont hurt. Our family began 11 years ago in May, in some ways it feels like forever and in someways it feels like that was yesterday. One thing is for sure, it really pays to marry your best friend....especially one that makes you laugh. Dillon came along after a bit of trying some five years later, we were pretty content to have just him as he is such an incredible child. However something in us decided that it wouldn't be really fair to let him be an only child, especially since at the time-his only cousins (whom he adores) were 12 years his senior and lived in another state. We decided to have one last big hurrah with Dillon & try and get pregnant. We chose Disneyworld to accomplish this big tadooh with Dillon. We were greeted with such warmth by our dear dear dear friends at American Tours & Travel without whom Disney & Universal Studios would not have really any bandfests! Robyan & Larry, Tim & Linda & the gang took us out to eat & really spoiled us rotten the whole time we were there. They even treated us to the parks.....and left us with the most amazing memories. I will never forget taking Dillon to see Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse's houses & him thinking they were REAL! I'll also never forget running from ride to ride late at night at Mickeys private party - because there were no lines! Yippee! The best thing happened while we were there though....we walked away with the most amazing souvenier.....a little boy named Adam was conceived while we were there. And then there were four.....thus the start of our now very busy, very full, very blessed family and this blog
