Summer Vacation in Austin

The cottage was
located in a quiet cove
on Lake Travis. The
hill country is so
beautiful. All around
us were hills and the
pristine lake to enjoy.
We had a brief maybe
20 minute rainfall, and
as you can see, Adam
thought that was great
fun to play in the rain.
Mom & dad rented a pontoon
boat for 2 days and
really got to see the
Lake well. Stephen and
I are ready to pack up
and move to one of the
gorgeous houses up
on the cliffs high above
Lake Travis! Dillon had
the time of his life on
the 3 man towable raft
we had behind the boat.
He was fearless, and kept
trying to get his raft
outside of the wake to
make his ride a bit
bouncier. His Grampy
got on there with him

and they had a glorious time
because Grampy really
got the raft a rocking...
Stephen steering like
a maniac also contributed
to this joy ride.
Adam liked seeing the
ducks swim up to
our boat and feed them.
He loved jumping off

the back of the boat in
his lifejacket and "swimming"
with Stephen & I.
Can you believe he fell
asleep and took a nap on
the boat both days we were out?
I think the boat just
rocked him to sleep,
it was amazing.
We all had a wonderful time,
I'm sure we will
visit this place again!
Thank you mom & dad
for a fabulous vacation.
Hopefully next time Andy, Renee
& "our baby" Andrea
can come!
At the cottage we stayed at, we spent most of our time out on the massive back deck. Mom and Dad spoiled us all rotten with this place! Here is Dad toasting marshmallows with the boys...we got to eat some yummy smores.

Here we are at Hamilton Pool, an old grotto that was amazing. They say the Indians used to stay here, we can see why, it was so pure, natural and beautiful.

Dillon loved the water, nothing unusual about that! Here the boys are enjoying the view perched up on the surprisingly cool rocks inside the grotto. It was a long hike to get here, but well worth it for the cool water & gorgeous "garden of eden" feel.
